1997: DENVER “THE REVENGE OF CUDDLES”
Our 2nd Palooza marks the additions of Bill and Chris, as well as our first visit to the original Log Palace.
After a quick visit to the dog races, we spot a topless Leif Garrett pounding some Dew. Note: for some reason Craig only shot low-grade video of this trip, thus the horribly weak screen caps.
Then it was on to Chez Dinky, where we are immediately reprimanded for our overly exuberant knocking.
From there, the Paloozians move on to the Great American Beer Festival, a lifelong bucket list item for homebrewer, Al.
To their utter delight, the boys are presented with more beer choices than humans such as them should ever be allowed.
A delightful game of guts heats things up at the Log Palace after a long day of beer sampling.
B-Luv enters the original Log Palace and immediately sets a basement sleeping standard that would follow him for years.
Chris led the Paloozians on their first fitness excursion by mountain biking around Winter Park. Here’s Al working some magic.
After falling back and getting lost in the Colorado wilderness, Sean struggles to catch up to the taunting Paloozians in the search truck.
Without a single strand of hair out of place, Clem awakens to the disturbing sound of invading Paloozians.
After being scared shitless by Cuddles and The Bear in ‘96, the Paloozians discover a real bear while fishing in Breckenridge in ‘97. Standing about 8 feet tall on his hind legs, he checks us out for a few moments and ambles off in disgust.
The Paloozians follow the Colorado Buffs team bus as they make their way to storied Folsom Field to take on the Texas A&M Aggies.
Dean digs for another banquet beer at our Original Coors-sponsored Buffs tailgate party.
The Buffs take it on the chin again, marking the official start of what will be a clear Paloozian curse on the Buffs in the ooming years.
Big Al looking pretty fired up to watch the league-leading Broncos take on the Patriots on Monday Night Football.
Led by Terrell Davis, the Broncos destroy the Pats 34-13 to reach 6-0 on their way toward their first Super Bowl win.
Wreck pretty much sums up how everyone feels during that chilly morning bus ride to the airport. Another solid Palooza is in the books.
