DAY 1: BEAU JO'S!!
Bill and Craig both appear to be ready to draw as they enter Beau Jo's. It’s time for the 24th edition of Colopalooza! Let’s do this.
-
DAY 1: HOT PIES
Once those delicious pizzas arrive, the guns really start firing. These bad boys are vaporized in mere minutes.
-
DAY 1: ENTERING THE PALACE
Finally the boys arrive to unpack in their native homeland--the illustrious Log Palace.
-
DAY 1: MEMORIES OF THE FLOCK
Craig soon spots a huge red fox making his way past the Palace. There’s no doubt that he must have smelled pizza remains.
-
DAY 1: RIDE TO GO 4-WHEELING
After unpacking, the Paloozians venture over to Grand Adventures for some high speed four-wheeling. Here are the boys talking strategy.

The lads keep a bit of distance to reduce the dust intake. Along the way, there are some great views of the valley below.
-
DAY 1: UP HIGH ALREADY
Before long, the Paloozians are high above the valley--a perfect spot for a group shot.
-
DAY 1: CRYSTAL CLEAR WATER
Near the top of the peak, the Paloozians find a clear mountain stream. They have no idea where this water comes from.
-
DAY 1: OLD RAILROAD BRIDGE
It must have been one hairy ride to take this railroad over the pass back in the late 1800's.
-
DAY 1: YIKES!
But that doesn’t deter Bill from stepping out on this creaky old bridge for a good pic. Hell, he’s been on house money since 2015.
-
DAY 1: AMAZING VIEW
The Paloozians gather for a final group shot high atop the Colorado Rockies before heading back down to Winter Park.
-
DAY 1: HIDEAWAY BREWS
Any day spent doing much of anything near Winter Park is usually rewarded with fresh beers at Hideaway Brewing. Cheers!
-

-
DAY 1: GOTCHA
Seanie gives us the one finger shooter from Hideaway.

-
DAY 2: THAT'S GONNA LEAVE A MARK
Clem starts the day off strong by first catching a fly on his thumb and then accidentally snapping his fly rod in half.
-
DAY 2: FRASER RIVER
But while often tested, the notion that “the Palooza waits for no man” is again upheld as an immutable law. Here's Sean happily casting into the Fraser, hardly giving a thought to poor Clemmie having to drive back to Granby to buy a new rod.
-
DAY 2: HAPPY PLACE
If it were up to Craig, Palooza would be nothing but pizza, beer, trout fishing and football.
-
DAY 2: REELING ONE IN
Milo has gotten better at fishing over the years. Here he is hauling in his first brook of the day.
-
DAY 2: HIGHER UP
After fishing the wider part of the Fraser, the boys come back closer to the Log Palace to fish it higher up. More of a stream.
-
DAY 2: VIEW FROM ABOVE
The Paloozians have to hike pretty far up a hill and then down the other side to get to what looked like an ideal trout stream.
-
DAY 2: BEAR CLAWS ANYONE?
Yes, that is a fresh brown bear track that Smalls has found near the stream.
-
DAY 2: MILO AND SEAN HEAD BACK
After a long day of trout fishing, it’s time for the boys to head back. It’s almost beer thirty!
-

The boys take a load off as they wait for Clem to pick them up.
-
DAY 2: BEER TIME!
Back in town, it’s time to partake at the Fraser River Beer Co.

It’s a perfectly cool, sunny afternoon in back. Ideal for beers.
-

Five of your Paloozian heroes gather near the old railroad bridge, right before starting their hike over Rogers Pass.
-
DAY 3: PERFECT WEATHER
The Paloozians pass the trailhead sign as they begin their ascent.
-
DAY 3: PASSING THOUGH THE TREES
The boys hike through the forest for about the first mile.
-
DAY 3: WINTER PARK SLOPES
But they quickly get above tree line where they are able to see the naked runs of the ski resort below.
-
DAY 3: GETTING UP THERE
The trail gets thinner and rockier as the Paloozians gain elevation. You can tell that not too many people come up this high.
-
DAY 3: OXYGEN PLEASE
Near the summit, you can feel the oxygen depleting quite a bit. Smalls starts feeling lightheaded as Seanie takes a water break.
-
DAY 3: B-LUV CARRIES ON
Bill makes his way along the trail, gamely holding those painful altitude sickness memories at bay. Atta boy, B-Luv.

-
DAY 3: LOG PALACE FOREVER
With the Palooza Van packed and ready to roll eastward, the Paloozians bid farewell to the beloved Log Palace.
-
DAY 3: RED ROCKS ARRIVAL
Clem has that “I’m blowing my curl day for this” look on his face.
-
DAY 3: CHILLING ON THE ROCKS
Thrilled to have survived yet another brush with high eIevation, Bill settles in for a night of good music at Red Rocks.
-
DAY 3: CHECK OUT THE ROCKS
Milo looks like he’s up to something as he checks out Red Rocks.
-
DAY 3: BLUEGRASS MUSIC
Greensky Bluegrass bust into a lot of banjo and guitar riffs as huge full moon rises above the famed Red Rocks stage.
-

With a rare 11am Buffs kickoff, the Paloozians are forced into action by 9am to properly prepare for the day's game.
-
DAY 4: MICHAEL'S BLOODIES

After the game, the boys make their way over to Boulder’s largest brewery—Avery Brewing.
-
DAY 4: BABY BUFF!
A bit later, Zoe joins the Paloozians for dinner at Avery.
-
DAY 5: NO MORE PICTURES
The next day, Craig gets up early to take Zoe out for breakfast before he and the boys head to Denver for the Broncos game.
-
DAY 5: FLAGSTAFF
As is their tradition, they take a quick drive up Flagstaff to enjoy the view overlooking Boulder.
-
DAY 5: ON TO DENVER
Craig regroups with the boys and they head down to Brooklyn’s, which has long been a staple of Paloozian pre-games.
-
DAY 5: BROOKLYN'S PATIO
The best thing about Brooklyn's is their back patio, which is always filled with orange-clad fans and bottles of Coors.
-
