To celebrate the 25th Colopalooza, the Paloozians return to their beloved Denver. The first stop was Raices Brewing where they meet Leo Jacobin and Steve Clemens for beers and welcome two new Paloozians.

Brad Weber and Michael Levine join the festivities for the first time. Both are excellent additions to the noble order of Paloozians.

After beers, the boys walk over to Meow Wolf to wander around its immersive art installations (that’s code for “stoner art”). It Is, uhhh…interesting.

We are just a few months into the first wave of Covid vaccinations, so masks are still required in public places.

Sean tries to order a pepperoni and broccoli pizza for delivery to apocalyptic Tokyoland. He is unsuccessful.

The Multi-McGough exhibit proves to be quite disturbing.

After Meow Wolf, the boys rip up to Winter Park to settle in at the Log Palace and Mike’s place just a few blocks away.

Brad and Dean catch up on the 35 years that have passed since they knew each other back in college.

Al and the boys stock up on lattes and breakfast burritos before getting on the water for a day of float fishing.

The illustrious Paloozian float team is in their transport van on their way up to the Colorado River.

Our guides back the van into the river to launch the boats. The water looks muddy after some rain, which is not ideal.

The boats this year are pretty advanced, with support rails to mazimize casting. Al stands poised to get after it this year.

Al and Sean push out into the open water and it’s game on.

Craig and Brad encourage their guide to get their boat going. They can’t let Al and Sean take this year’s fish title.

Back in Winter Park the boys are just getting onto their bikes for an amazing ride on the trails up behind the Log Palace.

The mountain biking teams stops to check out a dense grove of changing aspens.

Back on the river, the boys are off to a slow start as the muddy waters of the Colorado are proving to be a hurdle.

Despite the rough fishing day, the cruise down the river is always spectacular. And timing for the fall leaves is perfect.

Encouraged by the false claims of trophy catches by Brad and Craig, Sean and Al keep working the river pretty hard.

Even when the fish aren’t biting, fishing the Colorado rocks.

Brad keeps trying to land one as a heavily-tagged freight train winds its way through the Rockies on its way to Denver.

After logging an impressive first 24 hours of alertness, Al begins to telegraph what we can expect on the drive home.

And right on cue, Al is completely gone. It’s just incredible.

The boys return to Winter Park to grab a bite at The Ditch.

From there, the Paloozians make their way to the Log Palace to fire up some Manhattans and Old Fashioneds before dins.

Craig gives a 25th anniversary presentation for the boys.

The boys surprise Smalls with a bottle of Blanton’s Red, which is made for the sophisticated Japanese whisky market. All the Paloozians sign the bottle to mark the occasion.

The Paloozians start day three off right with an early stop at Sharky’s for some quality breakfast before golfing.

When you’re golfing up high in the Rockies, you never know when your route to the pin will be blocked by a pile of crap.

Sitting at 8,100 feet above sea level, Granby Ranch features the Fraser River and several picturesque lakes.

The boys have seen a few bald eagles over the years but never in flight. This one flies right over their heads.

The bald eagle sighting is quickly follow by a young moose that got spooked by a passing train and decided to run toward the Paloozians. Luckily, he took a turn up the fairway.

The boys are forced to take a quick break as a thunderstorm rolls in. Here’s Sean hiding from Craig’s ever-present camera.

After golf, the Paloozians are hungry for some dinner, so they stop at a local BBQ Restaurant & Brewery in Granby.

After dinner, the boys pack up and head down to Red Rocks to see Bill Burr record a comedy special.

It’s a perfect Saturday morning and that means it’s time for ClemBox to break out the ClemBox for some tailgating.

The Paloozians are joined by Paul “Midnight” Johnston and several Paloozian wives and friends for a pretty solid turnout.

Smalls strikes again by securing a special scoreboard mention for the 25th edition of Colopalooza. Way to go, boys!!

Dean, Brad and Craig spot “The Catch” legend, Michael Westbrook wandering around the stadium and snag a pic.

Star SC receiver Drake London hauls in 9 catches and a TD vs the Buffs weak secondary and the Trojans cruise to the win.

After the game, the Paloozians head out to visit a few breweries, starting with Sanitas. This is one of Craig’s faves because it is rarely crowded due to it’s warehouse location. They have quality brews and an amazing back patio.

Then it is on to Oskar Blues for another round of brews.

The Paloozians cap the evening by catching some live music on Pearl Street.

The boys start their Sunday at Brooklyn’s for some pre-game beers and hilarity before the Broncos game. Here is Al laughing his ass off. Trust me, this is what it looks.

It’s a perfect day as the boys walk up to Mile High Stadium.

It turns out that one of the Broncos “Monster Guys” actually has seats near Craig’s seats. Gotta be so friggin’ hot in there.

The Broncos get introduced on a spactacular Orange Sunday.

Standing high atop the scoreboard, Bucky is ready for some football as the national anthem fireworks go off.

Lamar Jackson throws/runs for 344 and the Ravens lead the Broncos throughout to secure the easy win. A tough weekend for the Buffs and Broncos but a great Palooza!
